Goodreads Book Tag

Hello Bookish Buddies and happy Friday!  I am sorry for my elongated absence, I’ve just been out of town visiting colleges and camping and then frantically scrambling to catch up on all of the homework I missed.  I still have a ton of homework, but I’m not in the mood to do it so I’m doing this instead.  This is the Goodreads book tag.  I was tagged by Becky @ Book to the Becky forever ago, per usual.  Let’s get into it!

1. What was the last book you marked as “Read?”

23447923The Inexplicable Logic of My Life by Benjamin Alire Sáenz. Yes, I have not finished anything over the course of my brief hiatus and am now experiencing reading withdrawals.  It’s terrible.  I hope to binge read this weekend.

2. What was the last book you marked as TBR?

22840421Good question. Let me check.  Although you probably already know what book it is because the picture is right next to this answer.  But I don’t. Now I do.  It’s My Lady Jane. I started reading it on my camping trip, but I only got two chapters in and I’m already reading five books, so I put it back on my TBR.

3. What book do you plan to read next?

Oh wow I have no idea.  I’m so in the middle of all five books I’m currently reading.  My best guess would be either Eliza and Her Monsters and/or Scion of the Fox.

4. Do you use the star rating system?

I do, but I normally change my rating in my reviews because I’ve had time to think through my opinions and digest the story.  Also, half stars and quarter stars.  Get on it, Goodreads.

5. Are you doing the 2017 Reading Challenge?

Yes, I am.  My goal is 50 books and I’m currently 6 books ahead!  I’ll probably raise it at the end of the month if I’m still this ahead.

6. Do you have a wishlist?

Basically everything on my TBR is a wishlist, although I do own some of the books.  So not really.  I did at one point, but I failed to keep updating in when I got books/wanted new books, so I deleted it.

7. Which book do you plan on buying next?

I don’t.  I need to save my money because I have a really bad food buying habit.  Like I can get cheap food, but the more expensive food is better when I have access to things like Overdrive and my school’s library.  Plus, I already own way too many unread books.

8. Do you have any favorite quotes? Share a few.

I do!  I’ll just copy and paste them all since there are only a few.

“It turns out that a girl with all the friends in the world is still lonely when she’s keeping secrets. My”
― Rae CarsonWalk on Earth a Stranger

“Fear can’t hurt you,” she said. “When it washes over you, give it no power. It’s a snake with no venom. Remember that. That knowledge can save you.”
― Maureen JohnsonThe Name of the Star

“No one was my master— but I might be master of everything, if I wished. If I dared.”
― Sarah J. MaasA Court of Mist and Fury

“She was happy, yes, in her own way, as best as she knew.
But there’s a difference between a single candle in darkness and a sunrise.”
― Victoria AveyardQueen Song

9. Who are your favorite authors?

Ryan Graudin, Scott Westerfeld, Sarah J. Maas, John Green, etc.

10. Have you joined any groups?

Yes.  I am part of the YA Book Bloggers group and Polls for Our Souls.  I would recommend joining both.

So yeah, those are my answers.  If you want more updated answers, you can friend me on Goodreads!  I’m way too lazy to tag specific people, so if you’re wearing any orange today, you are tagged!  Seriously, if you’re wearing orange, do it.  Or if you’re not and you want to.
